The Heart of Crossroads
Rooted in Fontainebleau. Connected to the World.
Crossroads is a volunteer-led collective where local expertise meets global perspective. Since 1984, we have served as a vibrant cross-section of global citizens: a meeting point where international experience and local French life intertwine.
Our community comprises a diverse group of professionals, families, and residents, from those newly arrived at INSEAD to those who have called this region home for decades. Together, we sustain an open-minded network that bridges cultures, generations, and backgrounds to foster meaningful connections close to home.
Our Community-Driven Model
Crossroads is not a commercial service provider; it is an association entirely built on the participation of its members. We maintain an intentionally low annual fee to ensure our network remains accessible to all. In return, our vitality depends directly on the shared ownership and enthusiasm of our community.

Structure Meets Initiative
The heartbeat of Crossroads is member-led activity. While the Executive Committee manages the administrative framework, insurance, and organizational strategy, the association is primarily a launchpad for your ideas.
You do not need an official title to shape our calendar. Our community thrives when members leverage their own interests to introduce new activities. Whether it is coordinating a forest hike, launching a niche interest group, or sharing a regional discovery, we provide the network while you provide the initiative.
Our Yearly Calendar
To ensure a dynamic and consistent experience, the committee curates a yearly calendar of core "anchor" events. These range from casual seasonal gatherings to curated, ticketed signature events that complement our annual budget and allow us to host larger celebrations. These anchor events provide the structure of our year, while spontaneous, member-driven circles keep our community ever-evolving.
